Burke Teichert was raised on a family ranch in western Wyoming. His father and grandfather were ahead of their time in understanding the importance of low-input, low-cost agriculture. Since getting his Masters in Farm and Ranch Management, Burke has spent a career managing several different ranches in a number of climatic environments and locations all across the globe. He learned that while adhering to the same principles no two ranches could be managed the same, thus the need for adaptive grazing and adaptive management to fit practices to the individual ranch while using the same principles.
Since retirement Burke has worked as a contract manager, ranch consultant, columnist, and speaker. Recently, he has joined with Understanding Ag as a consultant, and they have offered to co-sponsor this event with Cheney Lake Watershed Inc. and allow Burke to share some of his experiences with adaptive grazing in different contexts. We are excited to co-sponsor this event and if you have questions about making cattle operations more efficient and less demanding you will not want to miss this speaker.
