Roy Pfaltzgraff comes to us from Haxtun, Colorado, near the northeast corner of the state. PFZ Farms is in a 14 inch rainfall area so making the most of the moisture you receive is critical. Roy has been successful in improving his soil health by keeping a living root in the soil for much of the year in spite of the lower moisture levels.
PFZ Farms sells gluten free flour and mixes from grain sorghum and millet grown on their farm. Roy doesn’t plant any crop he doesn’t have sold to a specific market adding value to each crop grown on the farm. Roy will share his soil health journey as well as giving us a look at his marketing strategies. If you want to learn how to increase the soil health on your farm and get some tips on direct marketing this is a workshop you won’t want to miss.
This meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 30th at the Pleasantview Activity Center. Lunch at Noon, Speaker at 12:30pm.
